Sat in the pagoda outside and was nicely sheltered even though the weather wasn't great. Me and the Mrs had the scallops from the specials board, and it may be the best £12 I've ever spent they were absolutely beautiful. The youngest son had a childrens scampi and chips, and he absolutely wolfed the lot and a perfect portion for a very hungry 6 year old. Everything home made and the chips were first class. The eldest son had an adult fish and chips, and he polished it all off. The fish was as fresh as a daisy, and the batter was crispy as you like. Service was swift and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. 5⭐
Was on holiday for 1 week in Porstcatho, coming from New Zealand I have had my share of Fish & Chips . The Fish & Chips from the Boathouse were by far the best I have every had!. The Chips were so crispy right down to the very last bite. Batter was light and crispy and fish very fresh. Front of house staff was very friendly. Best Cider too! Thanks so much!
We popped in on the off chance and it was such a good find. There was a good choice of food and when it turned up it was delicious, the fish curry especially. They're good portions. It's so nice to go somewhere with excellent customer service and you certainly got it here. We would highly recommend a visit.
A nice new cafe with a bright cheerful interior. They have a combination of table seating as well as couches which were very comfortable. We had a couple of glasses of wine which were nice and some calamari with chips. The chips were great with the right amount of crispness. The calamari was nice too except the portion was small for the price. The service was very friendly.
oh my goodness..fantastic find on the coastal path.beautiful place to sit and relax over great coffee and food. had a cream scone and so nice to have the jam and clotted cream come in pots and not the impersonal plastic container with jam in a small jar...not just more tasty but less waste to! staff are great and dogs very very welcome.....mine was very happy with her treat... thank you!
We enjoyed an excellent Sunday Roast at The Boathouse today. Food was of good quality, well presented and plentiful. Great value too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
My mother and I (and two dogs) had a wonderful roast. The beef was amazing, vegetables cooked well and gravy delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend
Excellent food and friendly service, all the staff had a smile on their face. We really enjoyed our lunch and returned later for coffee & cake. The weather was nice so we were able to sit in the outdoor terrace section. For good food, good service, and relaxed atmosphere, would definitely recommend.
